  1. When is the entry deadline?

  2. How will I know that I’ve been officially entered?

  3. How much will all this cost?

    Entry: $40 adult; $25 youth PLUS cost of “car”

  4. Where can I find more about the car building & race rules?

  5. Can I buy a “kit” derby race car?

    Absolutely!

  6. When should I start building?

    Now – so you aren’t rushed and you have time to “test drive”

  7. How can I get some help with my car?

    Come to our workshop on June 28th, 2011 at Case Community Center – 7:00pm

  8. Should I enter the COMPETITIVE or NOVELTY division?

    The competitive participants will use the ramp to begin the race, and will be timed for bracketing. Novelty participants are “just for show” and will not be timed. You should enter the class you feel your participation level will fit the best.

  9. How many times will I get to race my car at the event?

    Minimum of 2 races… novelty might be several more; competitive… as long as you keep winning

  10. What about prizes?

    Competitive… 1, 2, 3rd trophies (youth and adult) Peoples choice – voted on by the people at the event

  11. Why did the race course move locations?

    To give you a longer race, to give more space, to do away with sand pit for stopping (save your wheels)

  12. Where can I find more information about lodging, places to eat and more?

  13. How are the derby race fee monies used?

    The profits are going to help install handicap accessible playground equipment at Pratt Civitan Park in Sand Springs. ALL Children deserve a place to play!!!

  14. Is any of this dangerous?

    There is always a level of danger in any racing event. The race team has tried to put together a safe environment for racers – hay bales for race boundaries, volunteers along raceway to help cars start, stop and stay on path. EMTs / firemen are on sight.

  15. What should I know about the competitive division race ramp?
